Tips for getting your car ready for freezing winter weather.

With the weather turning colder there are a few things to keep in mind that will help prevent you from having unexpected car problems this winter. Here are a few tips to help you be prepared this winter.

1. Have your starting and charging system checked. Winter weather can put a strain on your vehicles battery and electrical system. Having these items inspected can help prevent you from having your car not start at the worst possible time.

2. Have your cooling system checked. It is important to make sure your coolant freeze protection is adequate. If your coolant freezes, it can cause severe damage to your engine or cooling system components. Your cooling system also provides cabin heat. To get the best performance out of your heater, it is important that your vehicles cooling system is performing as designed.
